Staging a VACANT home for sale - Herndon, VA
Newly renovated homes also benefit from home staging, especially when they have some unique architectural features. The 25’x23’ great room with vaulted ceilings is one of the highlights of this home, but when it’s vacant it tends to feel cavernous and cold. By focusing on design elements we created smaller, more intimate spaces, highlighting the large windows by grouping four chairs and a table to create a hotel lobby setting. The second seating zone includes a comfortable TV viewing area which is a must in a home without a basement.
The entryway also presented a challenge because the home does not have a traditional foyer- the front door opens directly into a long room. We created the illusion and feeling of an entryway by utilizing two separate seating areas - one to the left and one to the right of the front door.
Lastly, the use of properly scaled wall art and accessories help balance the rooms by adding to the warm ambiance as noticed in the 2nd picture where two pieces of abstract art flank the large windows emphasizing the dramatic vaulted ceiling.
